Would it be bad to start a 1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula(LT1) with no transmission fluid in the manual transmission just to hear it run?

Whys that ? My friend thinks that there is something in the transmission that it still spinning that will get damaged cause its not lubricated... i dont know everything about transmissions but the only thing i think that will be spinning would be the flywheel or something in that area..

I actually think thats a horrible idea!!
You start it up, and you're gonna want to drive it, then get pissed at yourself because you cant! But what they said, no damage.
