No I am not looking into cutting my stock springs. I'd rather switch over to a progressive rate spring. But I found this posted on another site. This guy is saying that cut springs is better than a aftermarket spring for a street car, this was all published by an engineer in his book. Now I don't know if this was because spring technology back in the late 80s early 90s wasnt that great or what. But I figured that this would be a good topic of disscussion...






Everything this guy is saying is going against everything I have always heard about springs. Also I don't think its the best idea to be cutting the coils with a torch since the heat changes the characteristics of the metal drastically.
