So I have been looking for one for a few months now and dave linked me to a busa in boston for 6k that was an 02. So I said let me call the bank. Bank said no problem got approved in minutes and I called the guy this am and no answer...

Discouraged I looked around more on CL and found another one that was black and red. Not really what I wanted. (Wanted all black). But it looked mint and was 6k also with 10k on the clock.

Call the guy. Turns out the bike is in mass. No problem ride up there and its a custom shop! Must have been about at least 30 busa's tricked out beyond recognition.

I see the on in the ad had some scratches and was pretty modded then the guy tells me its sold and he did not know. I was like damit.

But he was like hey I got a couple over here too. BAM there was... 03 busa, 6k on the clock, bone stock, owned by an old guy who traded it in for a cruiser and it was from Florida! I was in love.

Bought it 5 minutes later. 6,500 out the door. He took off 500 because the other one was sold. Couldn't jew him down anymore not a bad price for the condition its in.

I really do. Its not near as bad as everyone says. Extremely comfortable. The power is there if you want it but its extremely easy to ride!

Just like any other bike, if you can control your wrist you'll be OK, let yourself get out of control and she can hurt you.


Careful with the mod bug, it bites hard with these things before you know it, you'll have dumped as much as you paid for her into her.

in your pics you have the handlebars turned the "wrong" way for parking.....the way they are the bike has a lot more of a lean than if it were straight or facing the other way. most folks face them the opposite way. It's a lil bit safer for ya.


as for fully throttling it....avaoid doing it in 1st gear, she will go 12 o'clock on you REAL easy.

turning the bars to the left actually releases the suspension and allows the bike to 'sit' on the stand. A simple brush up against or bump against the bike the way you have the bars can cause a tip over.

This bike is amazing. Got to take it for a ride today (thanks Chowda) Low end power on this bike is nuts. Definitely a whole different world compared to my GSX-R 600.
It seems so smooth and for some strange odd reason it feels lighter than my 600. Maybe the weight distribution with the longer wheelbase is throwing me off? Also My gixxer feels like it's all or nothing with throttle control. I guess the best way I can explain it is like jumping from a 400hp DSM into a 400hp Corvette. Overall all the powerband seems so much smoother. I can't comment about the top end difference because I didn't have the balls to stay into it throughout the higher RPM's LOL.




Overall badass bike. This one has me second guessing myself as to if I should have went strait to a 1000cc bike.

14 is the way to go nelson thats my next bike. trying to get one now but they are so freakin hard to come by it seems.
