For some reason my bike has turned into a chain strecher,I just replaced the old one and put a new one on,had it adjusted and 12 days lata I need to adjust it again,have,nt made it to the shop due to work and rain but lookin for some opinions?I no I don't down shift THAT HARD, to cause that shit ! smilie_help.gif

did u have to make a big adjustment? did u tighten everything down good enough when u put it on?....not that i'm questioning ur work...just a suggestion

that ACE is just a chain eater!!! all that horsepower your pushing Rudy! we might have to go to a dual chain drive system on that bike!1

Hey you saw you was who was runnin the best back from Laconia keepin up with those 1200,1300"s H.D."s and shit with my little 750! Cruisen at 100 on 24!Don't make me bring this back on the road,They'll have to replace rt 6 AGAIN!

after you put a new chain on you are supposed to retighten it after 500 miles, maybe that's what happened Rudy

Yeah everything was tighten up good,I might have left alittle to much slack when I put the new one on so I'll see what happens after this adjustment , thanks!

I think you hit the nail on the head,I went to laconia and back in one day then to the cape and a few days ago Newport so you might be right since I went over 1000 miles already! whistling.gif

yeah that's gotta be it man I am sure after you tighten it up again you will be fine. Not all chains are like that, like the one on my bike has been fine after we installed it when we did the stretch but I know I read somewhere that most do require that adjustment after about 500 miles.

This is what I want to get next year so I'm lookin for a good driver since I have a few armored car scores set-up for this winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
