I was doing something near my ECM today and noticed it was warm/hot to the touch. I had just shut the car off. I never noticed this before and wondering if I should be concerned. The car is running fine, but it's in such a confined area and no airflow at all for cooling. Mine is located near the passenger kick panel behind the glovebox. If anyone would care to check theirs I would appreciate it.

well it is a computer in a confined space, leave your computer on for a little while and then touch it, it will be warm, i mean if you can cook an egg on it that's not good, but otherwise, no worries

I thought of that too. It's hot even with a fan running.

ECM's get mighty toasty in the car....nothing to worry about.
