Anyone know where I can find that black rubber sticky shit that goes inside the channel on the door weatherstripping? The water is leaking into the back of my truck. Its getting in by seeping inside the groove on the weatherstripping and running down the lip on the body panel. Ya I know, WTF am I talking about right. Go outside and pull the weatherstripping off your car/truck. Now see that metal lip that the weatherstripping was attached too, well the water is getting around that and I need something that makes the seal tighter and the only thing I can think of if that black sticky shit that some cars have

hmm, I guess I could try that shit. I figured there was something I could get in a roll or something and just press it into the groove on the weatherstripping. I will look at crap zone and see what they have. Hopefully I can get this water to stop trickling in. I cant replace the carpet until I stop the water.

usually to make the weather strip come back to life you need to spray and rub and spray on some silicone lubricant you get from a can. i'd have to see what you are talking about i guess. if the weather stripping in coming off they have 2 sided sticky tape to put it back on. all else fails...replace it. black rtv will also work...just be sure to clean/prep both surfaces with alcohol....not beer..LOL!
