hi i need to find a place that specializes in t-tops. my ttops leak only on my back seat when it rains

I have a 1983 trans am my drivers side ttop seal is new

from what I understand under the plastic trim there are adjustment screws you adjust them to stop leaks once you put a new seal.

I dont ever remember seeing any adjustment screws on my 3rd gens that had ttops. Maybe I just never looked for them though. I think your best bet may be to replace the gaskets if you cant adjust the ttop to fit tighter to the roof. If you buy gaskets, DO NOT buy anything other then GM. There are a bunch of shitty companies out there that sell cheap weatherstripping. Biggest killer of weatherstripping is dryrot. Always try to rub armor all on them when you wash your car. This keeps them in good shape

mine had adjustments from what i remember. mine leaked in the same spot on both sides. got new seals (not particularly cheap from what i remember) and they still leaked a little little bit.

my uncle bought an 89(?) camaro from the factory with t-tops and they leaked brand new.

and thats why my 6th Fbody DOES NOT have ttops.

the ttop option was GMs most requested yet most promblemetic option they had to offer on the 3rd gen. And youd think GM would have got it right after all the complaints on the 2nd and mostly 3rd gen models... NOPE the 4th gens leak just as bad. One major factor in it is the weak unibody IMO.
