What Happened: Tried doing a burnout and kept it to the floor as i was going over bumps.

Problem: Everytime I accelerate a little bit out of the hole or go half throttle from 1st to 2nd it feels like the right rear tire hops and it makes kinda like grinding noises. Basically everytime I get wheelspin this happens. I was thinking maybe the traction bar but any help would be appreciated. thanks

Is there anything dragging or bent under there? How do the control arms in front of the tires look? Sounds like you coulda cooked the rear diff. though.

Bring it to the Seekonk meet and I will tell you what your problem is. Its tough to tell by your description. it could be a number of things. The wheels bearings could be on their way out. it canbe anything. Ihave delt withthese cars long enough to know that the issue you have is soemthing I have to hear and feel in the car to help you out with your problem

broken spider gears/posi unit better off buying a used rear then fixing it.

just went through something like this about a month ago on a 96. jack the car up and see how much the axles move in and out. if its enough where the rotor hits the caliper bracket then pull the rear apart and check if the center section is worn out. if so just put a .010 shim in it to tighten up the spiders. they dont make factory replacement parts for that rear. we checked the dealership and everything so either shim it or find a junkyard rear

What couldnt you find for the 10 bolt glen?
BoostedDakota
they dont make a replacement center section. we went to the dealer and they told us it was no longer serviced. either try shims or junkyards. so we shimmed it and it seems fine

I've seen everything from posi units to axle so I dunno.

i dont know either. service manager is a friend of mine and he showed me the schematic and clicked on the part and it said NLS. you can get aftermarket shit from moser or strange but the car dont need that kind of good stuff. its a bone shock auto lt-1
