I think I'm going to trade my car for an 03 wrx this weekend but wanted to know if they have any known bugs. I am not much of an import person, I've owned mostly gm. I've included the mod list just in case something in there is known to cause trouble. Thanks.

yessir well most wrx's have them but every generation's tranny seems to get stronger and stronger if you want a bullet proof tranny upgrade to the 06 sti tranny

why do you say its pissin you off lately?

It's too loud for a daily driver, little things breaking. The drivers headlight motor is dead so i have to put the headlight up and down manually. It had a misfire so i just did plugs and wires and that is now gone but doing the plugs and wires is a bitch. The fact that the motor is bright yellow aggravates me. I want a black firebird but don't want to dish out serious money for a paintjob.

why is the motor yellow?

because that was the previous owners favorite color so when he rebuilt it he painted it yellow. that includes the heads and valve covers. It also had yellow wire loom everywhere but i ripped most of that off.

ohhh well good luck either way. both cars are bad ass

no offense, its clean ass car and all, but the wrx with that exhaust might be just as loud as ur firebird for a DD

trust me that's not possible unless the wrx exhaust is missing after the headers.

Get rid of the wing and Grill first thing..

The wing will go but the grill will stay for a little while, I have money going into two other vehicles right now and don't want to through to much at the wrx right away.

just saying. it is a clean car and i hope you pick it up. just take it out for a drive, you will understand what i mean. especially at 70-75 on the highway

It might not be happening anymore, he just sent me an email asking if I would throw some cash on top of the trade. I don't like the car enough to throw him any cash. He is 9 hours away and wants me to deliver the car to him. I don't mind that.

Ok my car is staying for at least a little while. The owner of the Wrx started picking at little things in my pictures and wanted $1000 plus my car. I told him no and I am not going to drive 9 hours just to have him pick over all the little things. Good news is that now my interior is ready for Cfk. Steam cleaned it last night.

I do love my car but if it was going to be a straight trade my car was gone. I was thinking of driving the wrx for the winter and selling it in the spring and i probably would have looked for a black Ws6.

sounded too good to be true anyway. whenever ive seen anyone talk about these cars, for the future, they always say there are definite signs of them being track cars. there are places to look.

the 5mt subarus are typically good for around 300whp until they start slipping and what not. mines at about 270ish at the wheels and ive got no issues. and my car is fully catless and is def not as loud as an ls1.
