helluva write up and def looks like a helluva new engine that turbo looks pretty sweet but it'll be some time before upgraded turboes like that become available so the diesel tuner crowd may not be too happy

honestly, the way that thing is designed it should be making some sick power and torque out of the box...with a chip and some exhaust upgrades, maybe propane...monstrous.

They are gonna make some power lets see how they hold up. Fords first attempt at building their own diesel.

well it'll be interesting to see. They already have great tranneis in those things. Time to see what the new motors can do I guess

ok so I read through this entire thing with a little more care to catch everything. I love the new turbo set up. Much smarter! Between the turbo itself, the mounting hardware, and where in the engine bay they are going to have it, i think its leaps and bounds better than its predecessors. The aluminum heads has me scratching my head a bit, but its not un heard of in other applications to have alum heads on diesels. Smart move on fords part to make it so damn near any tranny can bolt up to it. All and all it looks like ford isnt taking this lightly. Honestly being a ford truck fan, they have let me down with the PS as of late, but this may just bring back the love. Like I said earlier just have to wait and see I guess
