so im driving home today and my battery light starts flashing so i check the terminals one ground was loose but still good contact so im thinkn one of my alternators is goin and i think its the lower one due to the fact the previous owner replaced the upper so has any one ever replaced a lower alternator on an f350?

i would check all my connections and tighten them, charge the battery and see if the problem persists. you may not need to replace that just yet.

yea i can get at it from the bottom seems a little tricky but u can get at it but its strange cut the truck is reading 14v all the time starts fine runs fine radio and gauges are fine nuthing is wigging out like when an alt is shitting the bed when it gets a lil nicer out today im gone go check all the connections and see if anyhting is loose

just checked all tghe wiring everything seemd tight no loose wires no sure what to do any ideas

If the truck runs, you could go to the parts store and have them test it? The alt in my grand prix went shortly after I bought it, did something similar but only intermittently.

They tested mine still in it. I just called my Advanced to make sure I wasnt losing it, they can do it.

just got home from autozone tested both batteries and alternators and they were all fine started looking around with the guy and found a wire on the battery terminal that was loose but it was a power wire for the system so we thought maybe its sparking and wigging out the comp so i was gona unplug it but just for shits i followed it to see where it went...it went to the sencond alternator pretty gheto if you ask me so for now i put a new end and reattatched it to the battery and so far knock on wood no battery lights so thanks for all the help guys
