Air tube.. Some cars have an air tube from an air pump going down to the cat.. It's emissions stuff.. If your truck doesn't have it, the tube should be closed. No biggie.

you need to find out what the current diameter is on your exhaust but if I remember right it should be a 2.5....if not you could always use connectors....oh and that extra tube is for teh AIR system

why do you need it?

Check engine light came on for a catalyst restriction (blocked cat), so I'm gonna replace it..

u could always put a nitrous line into that pipe with a spark plug and make a flame thrower

your truck is an '03, with the 5.3 right? if so your y-pipe should look like this... .... the cats are already built into it, in order to put a high flow on it you gotta change the whole thing.. i'm sure magnaflow and all the others have y-pipes with high flows for it, but they're a bit pricey.. the magnaflow one for my '95 is about 300...

yep, thats what I need, cheapest I found is $433 for a high flow magnaflow....

the only other thing you could do is either a. have a custom ypipe made with no cats and put that cat after it, or b. hollow out the existing cats and put that cat after the ypipe

ILL PROBABLY END UP BUYING THE MAGNAFLOW...

call me dumb, but that thing looks like a hanger for factory rubber exhaust hangers.... i doubt it being an air line..... if it is, just plugging it might work. But like s10 said, you need two.... highlflow on one side and stock on the other would make things in your 02 world for fucking bonkers!

SO IF I BUY THIS MAGNAFLOW SETUP, ANY SUGGEST A NICE MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST....

the answer is yes lol.... magnaflow really goes out of the way to tune each and every exhaust kit they sell to that car. Its awesome. They have full on cat back kits though that take the piping, resonators and mufflers into account.
