didn't want to fog up the Drake thread so here is my little review of Batman: A.A.
Short and sweet it is the best game I've played in a while that didn't involve me looking down the sites of a gun in a FPS. The story is well thought out and executed and brings back some old school batman animated series vibes. With the voices from the animated shows like Mark Hamill returning as the joker. It feels like it's grown up with me and this is the result. There is a great fight mechanic that makes the brawling feel unique to each situation. The layout of the levels and mission objectives give the game great pace between busting heads and stealth take downs. Stealth is sickly satisfactory taking down armed henchmen while hanging upside. Boss battles are interesting and plentiful. Although not long I enjoyed kicking the crap out of the likes of bane and using agility to defeat scarecrow. There are plenty of trophy's and hidden artifacts thanks to audio psych evaluation tapes, arkham history and the awesome amount of the Riddler's puzzles. The graphics are equal that of some of the amazing cut scenes in the ninja gaiden series. Just to comment again the level design is insane and the amount of detail put into the areas is amazing with plenty to look at.
I'm done with the game and have about 80% of the puzzles and artifacts found.
There lots of game play footage on youtube.com but i don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't played.
overall it's a great 1 person game. Plus on PlayStation you get to use the Joker in the Challenge mode which is just like a survival mode to beat up as many henchman and use as many different combos for points.
this shows alot of beat'em up. I like stealth missions.. but it shows a good amount of cut scene.
