ok my first attempt at a cafe racer is done (for the moment) Its an 80' Yamaha XS400 Special. I changed out the bars, turn signals, mirrors, bobbed and painted the front fender, painted the tank and side pods, new rear tire, and a general tune up all around. Nothing extreme but its a start.

just in timr for the riding season to end. haha. looks good tho adam

WOW!!! That came out awesome!!

Im still considering doing one of those front cafe fairings around the headlight. I may still add it I think im going to learn to ride a bit better before i put anymore time or money into it though !

That's one of the nicest cafe bikes I've seen in a while. I'm so sick of seeing flat black cafe's, it's refreshing to see another color.

You have a nice chrome rear fender- keep it!

The only suggestion I would say is on the side plates, add a checker pattern and another red stripe to match the tank. (going from bottom up, black stripe, red stripe, checker pattern, red stripe) Use a smaller pattern if need be. It'll really tie the bike together.

If not, let it be. You have a nicely finished product.
