Hyundai has taken leaps and bounds i love my accent alot more then i ever thought i would i needed a reliable daily that i can have a lil fun with and my accent was it but with last year (2009) releasing the genesis sedan this year (2010) genesis coupe and now it looks like the next step is this car and even before the release of the genesis sedan there was the XG and before that the azzera and each has made huge improvements over the last. I am on a hyundai forum as well and there are ALOT of people on therewith ALOT of diffrent hyundais and you can really see just how far this company has come

im 50/50 on this...looks amazing on the inside, but the hood ornament kills the exterior for me

that car is incredible, I heard it has as many options as a MayBach Benz. The hood ornament is stupid but that does look like a Korean market car considering things were all displayed in an Asian language, so changes may happen before it hits the stats. Now here is where I think this car will fail. If someone has 60k to spend they, more likely than not, want to buy a status symbol. The Hyundai name will most definitely pull people away from even considering this car. Imagine being at the hospital Christmas party with all the other doctors and they start talking about their Benzes, Bimmers, Porsches, etc....and you bring up your Hyundai. Not syaing it's the right mentality BUT for all those stuck up snobs, it's exactly how they will think.

I agree with Nelly. The name Hyandai has never been associated with a luxury car. BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Cadillac, Hyandai? Seems to weird. The need more cars of this caliber, and time, to be at the status of the others. And to truely be taken seriously, they need to stop making the small, inexpensive, gas savers. I'm sure this car is an awsome vehicle, and hyandai makes much better cars than 10 years ago. But what Nelson said was right. Te trouser stain yuppies will not take this car seriously due to the name. I'm even having a hard time putting in the luxury class of the proven staples.
hsssss
wowzers !...watch out Benz....new kid just scored a big hit !

I think you may be wrong on that part cause they have marketed their genesis just right not producing alot just enough to make it hard to get just try and get a genesis coupe track edition my father had a customer who wanted one paid for it and it took almosr a month and a half to get one and my dad had to go to Pittsburgh just to find one for this guy. The quality has sky rocketed and they deffinitly have their sights on the big boys right now. They have car for all price ranges and are now moving in on the higher end every year they seem to make more and more improvements you almost never hear ewww hyundai anymore (yes you still do but not much). I feel this car will do awesome esp if the market it just like they did the genesis.
jcat
fail. the genesis was supposed to take out the S-class and 7 series, along with the lexus LS......tell me which you see more of on the road any given day.
bonnEVIL
thats because the general public is stupid. there are even people on this site that wouldnt drive a hyundai because its a hyundai. thats pointless. they make nice, affordable cars with a great warranty.

availability man i am telling you that is a huge cause of it like i said to get his hand on a track edition coupe for a cutomer albeit an automatic it took my dad over a month and a half

Joe go to a dealership and test drive a genesis and see for yourself the car is all there

No Hyundai is worth 60k. In my opinion they tried way to hard.

i agree with this statement, but on the basis that no basic car is worth 60K. i have a hard time with 30K seeming to be the new average off the lot price point. 50K for the new Roush stang. cars are inflating in price faster than my pay is going up. my pay actually went down over the last 5years. the auto industry is in trouble because no one can afford them basically. high gas prices started the ball rolling, but have leveled off to being somewhat manageable. gas mileage should be better but is not really the issue. the issue for the auto industry is that these cars/trucks are too expensive....that is why people are buying the non-domestic brands. you seem to get a similar quality car for cheaper coin. paradigms must shift. unions are not really the issue either as they are just trying to get what is theirs rightfully from the auto makers here.

a 60K hyundai is weird considering they are known for more economic vehicles.
HoldenOnLS2
that was def. rt44 hyundai, car looks pretty nice, i cant see myself spending that much on a hyundai though

Its not bad, its not really my style, but if I were in the market for a luxury car I'd probably look into it...

...but anyone else notice all the Nav shots were in Korean?
