Way old, but, I finally set up the PS3 to do Netflix. EXCELLENT quality. Not quite Blu-Ray, but I suspect that's because the original transfer wasn't that high in most cases. Beats using a VGA cable into the tv from the laptop. The search interface isn't too bad either even using the Logitech Harmony remote which has a little bit of a lag time with the PS3 input.

No idea. Don't see why not, as it's internet based. I have a slim. The program is either on netflix.com via the PS browser or the PS store, I forget.

My son's PS3 is about 2-3 years old and he uses Netflix with no problems.

It was Microsoft's fault a disc was needed as they wanted exclusive rights to "downloadable netlfix". The disc was a workaround by netflix (It's not a download, it "needs a disc". see?

I love my netflix I find that the 360 has the best play back followed by the wii then the PS3 i am constantly having to refresh the PS3 picture quality is slightly better on the PS3 over all and i like the interface a little more as well. Also the PS3 netflix is a bandwidth HOG at my house when i use the PS3 for netflix my brother has a hard time playing 360 live (also the time when i find the PS3 has to be refreshed more often). How ever when i play it through the 360 we can run both 360's and have 3 computers on the network one playing WOW while the others surf the net and have no problem at all.
