i've known about it for a long time....the whole lexus community is really praying itll happen.....but doubt that it will.

however, the GS-F concept is looking promising, and if I have any possibility of buying it when it comes out, I will:

There have been speculations whether it will recieve the IS-F's v8, or the 550hp V-10 being developed for the LF-A.....either way, yummy.

reminds me of an r8 and a gt-r combined together. i bet you it will be rebadged as the new supra

nope, LF-A is going to be V10 powered: Official Lexus LFA page.

new supra aka FT-HS (whenever that comes out) will be a hybrid v6, identical to the gs450h (3.5L hybrid, 292hp):

in just that statement you have single handedly killed the new supra for me lol a v6 really? how about a TT v8? that would be sick. 500+ HP stock.

the concept version with the same hybrid v6 setup put out 400hp, obviously tuned differently. the toyota engines are high compression, and leave a lot of room for tuning. A stock 2jz n/a can be tuned for an additional 40hp at the wheels with no other modifications, by just playing with the VVTi and fuel trims.

a hybrid V8 setup has also been talked about. Regardless, i don't know if you've ever driven (or ridden in) any of the lexus hybrids.....they FLY off the line because of the instant torque. I personally have driven the GS450h, and ridden in the LS600hL....both are really quick.

so what youre saying is i could tune my VVTi without any mods and get more HP out of it?

yes. the toyota VVTi system is awesome, but nature of the beast required toyota to be sort of conservative on their fuel systems.

some of the GS guys I knew on clublexus put an apexi neo on their GS400s and 430s and saw 20hp improvement with just a dyno tune. The 2jz's, depending on who's tuning it, can see around that as well, but usually require some minor mods to go with it (i.e., intake but not much more).

IIRC your camry has the 1zz-FE or the 2az-FE engine. With a good tune I'd suspect you could see between 10 and 15hp. Add in an intake, header, exhaust combo, and you could see 20-30.

time for a tune

what else is done to it? IIRC you just had an intake right?
