When I got my Subaru, the rear passenger door was completely rotted out on the bottom edge. Since this was the case for several years, the rust had completely stained the paint on the rocker panel below, and it will not wash away.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting this out? I'm thinking about wetsanding it but that only does so much. Any suggestions?

Cool, thanks for the leads. I'll check around for a claybar since I could use one anyway for my other cars, and I'll look for the whink stuff too. I assume it's safe for painted surfaces?

last time I check the wink was safe for all surfaces but don't hold me to it.

the stain is most likely under the clear and there is nothing that will take it out, if simple rubbing compound wont remove it you're out of luck.

Whink is safe on sinks tubs carpet...but might want to double check with their website for painted surfaces
