the number is closer to a million.
and the people banned were people that modded xbox's and played pirated games.
but, as usual the nerds are a step ahead and you can unban yourself if youve been banned.

2 people at work had their modded box's banned. After this they are sure to start narrowing down where these box's are coming from. I don't know if you have to use your live account to get online using a modded box but that would be your name and credit info. If your dumb enough to do that they might use their TOS to take legal action. Or push to find out who's making them.dd

anyone can make them, they arent hard...if you google it im sure there are hungreds of tutorials on how to do this.
the whole point is to torrnet xbox games, and then play them on your xbox and on xbox live.
pirates usually get these games 1-3 wks before theyre released.

a pirated game is one that you didnt pay for. similar to if you pirate music or movies and download them off the internet. (limewire, torrents) you can do this with xbox360 games
its the same game, just free. Theyre able to tell when you play on xbox live if your copy of the game is real or pirated though somehow.
