Because I picked up one of these...

Built in Rev-Limiter, Timing Retard, Start retard, 2 step, more spark energy. Also takes less amperage than a 6AL. Ooo and I picked it up for cheaper than I sold the 6AL for lol... Free upgrade!
Bad ass little box!

Please explain the more energy and less amperage features. How much more energy and how much LESS power consumption off the battery is this thing consuming?

Heres what I mean Brad.
6AL =
CD Voltage Output to Coil 460-480 V
Current Draw 1 amp per 1,000 rpm
Spark Output (millijoules) 115 Millijoules
Digital 6=
CD Voltage Output to Coil 535 V
Current Draw 7.4 amps at 10,000 rpm
Spark Output (millijoules) 135 Millijoules

10,000 rpms? when the hell you gonna see that to reep the benefits of the digital compared to the 6AL at 6,000 rpm? I think the dig 6 is more for the guys running that high rpm. To me, its not worth the cost. Even on my engine. but in your case, it didnt you anything so its all good

The digi 6 is nice because of the extra built in features and it doesn't use pills for anything.
