i have an xbox 360 with the 3 rings of death. who here can fix it and how much?

i have just started modding them and am very confident i can fix it for you if you know how to use a soldering iron i actually posted the link yesterday in my 360 controller mod thread

I've been successful with the overheating trick, but it's temporary. If yours is still under warranty, it may work long enough for you to exchange it at a gamestop for a new one.

The 3 rings is a generic hardware failure that's linked to the soldering on the CPU to the board. By overheating it you sort of reseat it, but it's only temporary. Actually soldering it back down is the way to go.

yeah joe in my controler mod link thread there is another link i posted about the red rings the place i got my led mod from has step by step instructions on how to swap out the hardware on the cpu and the propper way to fix it

I have fixed quite a few consoles. If you want me to give it a try, let me know. I won't touch it if it's under warranty though.

im sure i voided whatever warranty it had since ive already taken the case apart. could not find anything visually wrong with it but im sure i couldve missed something

has something to do with a joint somewhere. i think on the GPU. i read up on them to try and fix mine when i had it, but dont remmeber much as i had it sent out.
