I bought my son a new head unit with a monitor. We can get the radio to work fine. It will not play any CD's or DVD's. I ran the brake wire to the e-brake switch as instructed. A product screen pops up and all it says in the corner is "read" and nothing else happens. I bougth it through Walmart online and it had good reveiws. I already had to splice in a harness because the one supplied wouldn't fit. I know this is not a unique problem as I have done some internet searching. I just can't seem to find a solution. It's an XO Vision X348NT.

sounds like an issue with the deck itself. have you tried a "normal" non-copied CD?

Yup, new DVD, and a store bought CD. I had to cut the harnes plug off. Even though I bought it online, hpoefully I can return it directly to Walmart.

if not, buy another one and return it with the good plug dunno.gif If the radio plays fine, it definitely sounds like a defective unit.

Well, we got rid of the system. The DVD would only work with portable unit attached to the head unit and the CD player started to mess up. You get what you pay for. he bought a simple Dual CD player instead. Now, I need advice on the wiring. What's the deal with the power wiring. Specifically the yellow power wire. The unit is maintaining power with the ignition off. The stanby light will stay lit all the time and you can power it up with no key. I don't think it's related, but his battery went dead last night. I had to jump it today. He has a meter for his amp, and when the car is running it shows 14.5 . We installed it on Sat., thats why I think it's just a coincidence. I just want some specs on the wiring. I've done a few systems before, but not with the yellow wire. Any pics or diagrams are appreciated. I have the directions that came with the unit. I want the system off with the ignition. Thanx for any input.
