Just saw avatar with a couple friends.....amazing....almost 3 hours long and i wasn't bored at one point. Steph, you have to see this movie, you'll love it! The effects in this movie are unreal. I definitley suggest that you go see it!
danigurrl
I definitely want to go see this, but everyone seems to be going without me to see it! lol. Hopefully I'll get around to going while it's still in the theaters.

It's about giant smurfs fighting the mech warriors from the matrix movie.
PSquare75
Dances with Wolves, Neil. Go see that. Then you've seen Avatar. Minus "3d!!" rolleyes.gif
Hyland33
I didnt see it in 3d..didnt really see that many parts that would have been great in 3D
Orinackra
all you haters seriously need to see it. yes its basically dances with aliens, but dont see it for the plot. see it for the fx. the 3d was out of this world. best 3d movie ive ever seen.

the stuff that was 3d was mostly background things that added to the environment. Not really in your face stuff like most 3d movies. For instance, bugs flying around on the planet. I wanted to swat the damn things haha, but it really made me feel like I was there. That and I felt like alot of the mechs, and people and trees and whatnot had depth to them, so it felt more real.

The critics were bashing this movie for being shallow eye candy. The critics missed their mark. This sold out movie (a week later even) was intense the whole way through. The incredible landscapes and awe inspiring characters pull you into the movie at every moment. I found myself not breathing or not blinking at times because I was completely taken in. References to Matrix, Halo, and The New World, but Avatar really stands on its own. Stunning at every turn. The CGI is so fluid and greatly natural. The only regret is that the movie wasn't 5 hours long. I could have sat for hours more just soaking it all in. Oscar worthy acting...probably not. This is a sci-fi action fantasy. I go to the movies to be entertained. You will applaud at the end of this one just like I did. Truthfully, it was Amazing! A must in IMAX 3D!

Twinkie and I are going to see it today! Yay! If anyone would like to go, we'll probably be at the 3:30 or 4 showing at Millbury.
Hyland33
Hmmm...so tempting
danigurrl
We are seeing the 3D one. If anyone wants to go, they can just txt one of us.
monytorris
Ok I was skeptical but saw it in 3d today and have to say that the effects were amazing and I didn't even realize that I sat there for three hours. I enjoyed it.
