So I'm at the mall yesterday trying to find a praking spot and some stupid bitch backs her Trailblazer out of her spot without looking and t-bones my car. The spare tire on the back blows out my drivers side window, throws glass all over me, dents my door, folds in and breaks my mirror. First reaction: wow, this really sucks but they call it an accident for a reason.

I call the police and an officer shows up. He then tells me that because it was in a parking lot that no one is at fault. You've got to be fucking kidding me! She hit me, how is it my fault too? The police officer didn't even make a report. So a take the paper work and go home and immediately call a friend of mine who is also a Swansea police officer. He can't believe the officer didn't make a report. Apparently if the damage is less than $1,000 no report is needed and no one is at fault because then it becomes a he said she said matter. But if the damage is more than a $1,000 someone needs to be at fault. This guy was just too fucking lazy to fill out a damn report. My friend is making me one as we speak but that's not the point. I'm really getting sick of this shit. About a month ago my house got broken into and we know exactly who did it. We gave the detective all the evidence he needed and they even found stolen property in the person's house but they still haven't gotten them for stealing our stuff. It's to the point that it doesn't pay to be a law abiding over-all good person any more cus they scum bags of the world can get away with anything just by lieing. I'm sick of it.

Yeah, I would have gotten arrested. I would NOT have let that cop leave without making a report. I would have made a scene. Obviously theres more than 1000$ in damage there. Regardless, he doesnt know how much damage there is, its not his job to make that assumption, its his job to do the report. I mean what if you didnt know another cop? You'd be screwed.

Yea, if I didn't know another cop I probably wouldn't have left so quietly. I just figured there was no reason to argue with this guy if I could get it taken care of alot easier. I just got the police report and she is 100% at fault so her insurance will pay for everything. I guess it all worked out

My son kinda went through the same thing at Providence Place. Cop wouldn't even get out of the cruiser. Like you, I have a very good friend with the PPD and he helped me out. Must be some kind of private property deal. My friend told me the other cop was a big douche bag anyway. Take plenty of pics for later on.

I know cop are rediculus now I had a car that was a hit and run so I went to the station and had the cop ask if there was a dead body in the back so I said no. so he then tells me well then son we have no time for it call your insurancel. really? WTF so then I went to the State Police to complain seeing the city didn't want to help and they told me they couldn't do anything its not in there jurisdiction that I could understand but again really? WTF
