Yeah I picked it up today with Neil.
Thats the plan Hyland. Probably gonna just do it black.
Can someone tell me what the tube coming out of the drivers side of the axle tube is for though? It's a 4th gen style rear.

Thats what I was just told but it is a odd spot indeed. Maybe thats why it's got a tube?

9" sometimes have the vent on one of the tubes when they have rear discs (Marks, etc). The house is just to extend it. Usually the fitting goes on top with the rear brake hose manifold fitting.

Nice find. Are you swapping gears out? Was this rear modified by someone for a 3rd or 4th gen or did it come all set up from a company already? I only ask because you may want to inspect the welds on it if someone did the the fab work themselves. Have the rear stripped down and then get it sandblasted.

Right now everything is just bolting in, I'll do gears and a spool in June. The rearend was bought from Spohn from Moser for a 4th gen. If it was someones custom fab work I wouldnt have touched it.

So the rear has a 4th gen width then correct? You will now be picking wheels out for a 4th gen which will be so much better. There are a lot more to pick from.
