Need some help picking out wheels for once! Need to be 5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern. Also needs like a 6-6.5" backspacing. Nothing bigger than 17's and nothing black.

So far I like the Zr1's

And the C6 vette wheels

What else do you guys suggest? If I cant decide on a set I'll just buy 2 weld Alumastars.
bonnEVIL
everyone puts those on the cars, granted its for a reason! they look damn good!

whats your price range?
LSRengineering
OE wheels has sets for 350-500ish but if I find a really good wheel I wouldnt mind spending the $ for it so maybe 200/wheel? The only reason I dont get the Welds is because 450/each is a little steep for me..
LSRengineering
Hyland was nice enough to do some PS for me so heres the 3 I picked..

C6 Z06's

C6 Base (Couldnt find gunmetal ones in a pic)

ZR1's

ROH snypers are sexy

bonnEVIL
these RONAL R-15s are 100% the nicest wheels for the thirdgen firebird, in my opinino anyway. theyre rare and expensive though.

LSRengineering
They dont look bad, probably work better on my car with the GFX. ROH doesnt import wheels to the USA anymore sadly and I dont want to go hunting em down.

I know someone with the RONAL's but I need 4th gen wheels because of the rearend I'm using and 16's are the smallest you can go with LS1 brakes. And I'm not spending 12-1800 on wheels lol

LSRengineering
No cragars paul! lol
PSquare75
I know you hate em. I would have said 17" Cragars otherwise wink.gif
LSRengineering
How did I know.
Junior
personally im a huge fan of the c6 rims
LSRengineering
Yeah some people think the thin spokes of the z06 wheels dont mesh
Stangman_NB
I'm at work and can't find pics but I honestly think the look of the AR wheels (staggered) that look like the Mustang Bullitt wheels would be SICK! Lil old school flavor in the mix!
LSRengineering
Not a fan of the torque thrust wheels at all.

Did you ever see the pics of my SS with the Boyd's on it? Drool.gif
LSRengineering

Those look good on that body style...
LSRengineering
They do but like I said size is wrong I cant fit them anymore and way too expensive

C4 ZR1's /thread
My84Z
since everything you have done is based on drag racing I say some bigs and littles like pro stars or something.
LSRengineering
I'm sick of seeing the pro stars on EVERYTHING thats why I wanted the alumastars. Some of those damn things are too damn expensive
LS6rally
im with Neil. C4 ZR1's
LSRengineering

my 68 was gonna get the street lites but it didnt. bad ass wheel for cheap money. those might be the first wheels for the dodge to until i can afford the new welds
LSRengineering
Yeah I want the Weld Alumastar 2.0's but not for 450 bux each. Those look mint and only weigh 16lbs each.
LS6rally
can you stuff a 10 inch rim uner there? what backspacing do you need?
BoostedDakota
6.5 backspace should be ok with a 10
LSRengineering
7.5" since I have a 4th gen width rearend. A 10 is the biggest you can go before tubbing.
BOTTLEDZ28
no tubbing required. Just use a BFH and "massage" the inner wheelwel. I had 11" wheels on the back of my car at one time and thats with a 4th gen rearend
BoostedDakota
actually, my friend nick with that blue iroc has 12's on his stock tubs. just like brad said, he had to massage it a bit
