theres a few different modes. this is NOT call of duty. This is more like a battlefield game, sort of. each gametype has a different number of people. ranging efrom 32-256. This is an obbjective based shooter. There is stuff to do. you will not succeed and advance if you do not complete the objectives. one team defends, one attacks. There are 3 "factions". Once you pick, your locked in i think. you can start over on a new faction, but you lose everything. this is like a war, they want to see who the best faction is.

suppression - 32 players - team deathmatch. this is a training session. it is not designed to be a prominent game mode

sabotage - 64 players - one team attacks, one defends. There are 2 objectives, A and B. split up into 2 plattoons, the players defend their satellite link The attacking team tries to upload information. When A and B are captured, it falls back to C. C is the only objective and its 32vs32 in the same game type. obtain the information.

acquisition - 128 players - this is where it gets alot more interesting. There are 2 teams again, attack and defend. The attacking team is trying to get vehicles out of the defending teams compoind and drive them to their base. This is hard because there are bunkers to be blown up, road blocks to be blown up, gates to be destroyed, anti aircraft guns. Alot of thses must be dealt with first. This is where all the team play and cooperative work comes in. it can be pretty chaotic.

domination - 256 players - same kind of style as acquisition. theres ALOT to do. theres somethin constructive for every player to do.

the controls are different, but you get used to them. the upgrade system is pretty complicated. and theres alot of customization. when you ulevel up you get skill points. these points are used to "buy" abilities, guns, sights, grips, other supplies that willl help you in game.

you probably think lag must be an issue, but its not. Zipper is probably the best developer for the PS3, if not one of them. i havent encountered lag yet. if your set on running and gunning, and not completing objectives like alot of call of duty players are, this isnt the game for you.

but if you like playing tactical games in COD to do the missions, this is a sweet game.

Dos can add more if hed like. and theres reveiws all over the internet by now.

Just got it tonight. Thinkin about selling it already. I'm not digging it so far. COD is more my pace

give it a few matches. it takes a little while to figure out and unlock stuff.

i can see some peopel saying that though. theyre completely different games

Game looks mint..love the idea of using teamwork.. I hate on COD and Battlefield when people don't work with the team and just go around killing people

I'm gonna give it a bit more time. I am hoping part of it is just because I'm new and I havent unlocked anything cool yet.

is ok, don't like that you have to wait to play the 256 stuff....still playing around with the 54/52 whatever it is....decent time though...

for some reason i don't like shooters on the ps3 as much, the controls aren't that different, i guess i just feel i have more control on the xbox controller...

my copy is for sale, or trade. just dont have the time for it.
