So this past weekend I bought h4 housings thinking I have h4s, but my bulbs are 9006s an they don't make a cheap unsealed beam. Eurolights has em for 100 pair plus shipping. Fuck that.

Went to autozone bought stock silvastar sealed beams, cut the silicone off, unscrewed the 1 screw an hit the circle plate a few times came undone, there 20$ housings.

Tryed fitting the h7 hid in, the hole was 1/4 in small, got out the drimel cut the hole a lil bigger. Bingo it fits perfectly since the h7 has a lip on it.

Since I didn't have a ride to get superclue I used 3m double sided tape(go ahead call it a hackjob) but worked perfect just to hold in place an used red rtv sealent all around the opening so no water goes in.

Ill post pics of the process an show you how bright they are this weekend wen I'm home.

Total cost 44$
An about 1 1/2 time
Can't be more happier

I agree. Nice ingenuity, but I would have waiting and used something other than red RTV.The beams look nice, and I know you wont see the back of the housing in the car, but I'd be concerned about that RTV. Arent you worried about its longevity?

I agree with not using the red RTV...black or gray would have been better. I wouldnt be worried about the longevity of RTV lol...Its not gonna get that warm and can tolerate anything a headlight is going to throw at it.

I guess thats true. We use it on engines and everything else.

I only say that because RTV is holding a coolant leak together for me until the replacement radiator gets here lol
