isnt he the one who had a heart attack mid season and came back for the 2nd part of the trip? either way he was a great captain

great captain, but this was only a matter of time. like his kids said, you have a diet consisting of cigarettes, red bull, and coffee...something bad is bound to happen.

im amazed he lived through the first trip to the hospital when he was spitting up blood. sad to see him go though.

yes they were he had to be airlifted to the hospital in anchorage

his friend from a boat in seattle has taken over for now because they were mid season for the opilio crabs. guessing after the season is done one of the sons will probably take over.
