I got a serious hookup through a friend to be on a pit crew at one of the races at the Daytona 200. I'm flying out early Wednesday morning and will find out what I'm doing that afternoon. I don't care if I do much, I'll just be happy to have some of the best seats in the house for the race!

congrats Jim, that's frikkin awesome!

Should be awesome. TV doesn't do the speed sensation any justice. When I went to my first Sprint Cup race, it was unreal.
hsssss
Daytona is my next track i want to go to...good luck man!

Sounds great!!

This just dawned on me, any chance anyone has any RR shirts I could pick up quick through express mail so I could *maybe* represent on tv?

I'll pay S&H, actually, are we still doing the stickers? Maybe I could slap one on the bike...I will try.

There's a lot of unknowns with this since the guy who got me into this doesn't give me much info, he's figuring it out himself (long story). But if I can get some advertising on the bike for us, I'll pay for the stuff.

Got some pics of the event. Everything went well. I was pitting for Alex Lazo who finished a very respectible 18th. I ran fuel and did some of the mechanical work between events.

The weather was cool which made things a little tough (down to the 40's and windy at night) but beyond that it was an incredible experience that I'll never forget.

Bikes were everywhere!

Hands down this is the coolest custom bike I've ever seen. The fork is two Buell forks put together to have two of those massive brake rotors, a Buell rear, custom frame, and powered by the legendary Honda CBX inline-six engine. I'd kick both of my SV's out of the garage for this thing.

I haven't been able to watch the televised race, did anyone catch it?

I watched about half of it. So you had fun?

Thats fuckin cool shit man!

It was definitely a great time. I'm hoping Alex continues with his progress; last year he was barely able to hang with these guys, now he's finishing mid-pack which is no small feat considering it's just him and his dad versus fully funded factory teams.
