Well this is very premature but I recently sold my spare 400 block and now have a empty engine stand. I've been tossing and turning on what to do next and havent really gotten far. All I know is I do not want to go LSx, its a great motor but not something I want to do right now.
So far I have it limited down to 3 choices.
1.) BBC I've been thinking 496 or a 502. Can make some crazy power and still be somewhat affordable.
2.) Another big inch SBC, I've looked into 421's and 434's a lot and woudnt mind building one. Only downside is I will need a Dart block to do it.
3.) Another 355, If I build one I want to spray the shit out of it.. 300 shot. Nice little motors and can make some good power.
Suggestions?

Too much money, between building the turbo motor and the turbo crap and redoing the whole fuel system etc. Just way too much money.

Buy my engine and tranny out of my car and I will give you my 300HP nitrous kit for free. Your talking 700-750hp on the spray with a 6 spd.

I didnt, I build my own shit! Already talked to a few people on some good combos. Goal is 700hp at the flywheel.

I still dont think you could build that engine shown for less than the selling price, unless you do a TON of horse trading.

I bet you could, the internals are all cast GM stuff from what I can tell, the heads look like pro-comp or some other china crap as well. The only thing really expensive is the machine work.

I know dude it was crazy money.
My heads can't reach full potential with the small cam I have.

The heads are bigger than the GTO's.

Yes sir, As far as I know. They are high flow heads used on both the LS2 and LS6.

http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=1...highlight=HeadsYou actually cant use the L92 heads on a LS6 block because they need a minimum 4.0 bore.

I dont think I would do a 572 ever really. But to get that high of cubes requires so much money just for the shortblock its not funny. The money I would spend on the shortblock can build this whole motor.
