Oh, Meguiars Cleaner wax. When I bought the claybar kit it came with 2 bars, The quick detail, And the cleaner wax. I will be moving to Collinite soon.

I would not advise using their Cleaner wax as a LSP. It's a great product, don't get me wrong, but it's a paint cleaner more than a protectant. It's a great follow to the claybar to get a bit more depth out of the paint.

As a LSP, I use meguiars professional line #86 (i think?) liquid yellow carnauba wax. Stuff is INCREDIBLE. You could drown a giraffe in good paint after that stuff, and it will let a plastic squeeze bottle slide right off the hood with no assistance. Plus its only like $40 for an entire gallon. put it this way, I bought the gallon and have only gone through about a 3rd of it, and that's between detailing 25 customer cars, on top of doing my own at least 10 times. Yes, I know I apply wax too often LOL. There is no limit but I always strip the old stuff with dish soap once it starts getting "pitted" and start fresh. There's nothing better than a freshly waxed car in my book.

I would like to add my .02 Cents on WAX.. lol, I wouldn't use a high end wax for a DD in the summer, A good wax has a low melt rate.. great for show cars and weekend drivers but not all that good for a DD with the weather from 90* heat...not all that good.

Paint Sealants like Tech wax poor boys EX-p and so on would hold up better on a DD(Much higher melt rate) ...i have detailed cars for years and they do hold up better on DD's.... biggrins.gif

Tip....Before you clay bar a car..Strip the old wax off....you'll have less crap in the clay

Hyland33
You can get the NXT tech wax at autozone i believe

Yea you can buy NXT 2.0 at vatozone, advanced, walmart ect. I personally believe it is the best synthetic wax you can buy off the shelf.
