This game is called Demons Souls. It won Game of the Year by the biggest Gaming Website on the 'net.

The game is very hard, and id label myself as a more advanced gamer.

Basically, your a knight (or wahtever class you choose) and you have to fight through the fog where there are demons. You gain demons souls for every demon you kill., souls are the currency and you can upgrade and buy shit with them.... Each demon is almost strong enough to kill you. So you will die often. When you die you lose all the souls you gained. Where you died, the floor becomes a bloodstain. If you reach this bloodstain you get all the souls back that you lost when you died. Seems easy right?

FUCK NO, when you die you return to the beginning of the level. Levels are hours long. And theres no fucking pause button.

When you die in the tutorial, and you will die, you cant not die. You turn from human to soul form. This means you only have 50% of your health and 50% of your attack power. When you beat a boss you return to human form and get 100% of everything. Oh, and your alone for this whole ordeal.

if you go online, it gets more interesting. Its the same game but periodically you can see the ghosts of other players and you can watch them to see if they fuck up. there are also other players bloodstains marking where they died. These stains allow you to watch the last 10 seconds of that players life. this can warn you of upcoming dangers. Also, theres no party system, theres no in game chat. Theres predetermined messages you can leave on the floor for players to read.

The game is very hard, its dark, you cant see much and very frustrating. its very rewarding when you complete something.

its extremely difficult, but its fair.

how abotut this. made it pretty far through the level with a broken sword, so i ran back to the nexus where you can go to the merchants and shit to repair weapons and buy new items. Ended up needing 500 souls to repair my sword. Ended up with 450. So i wen tback to the level and every bad guy respawned.

It was my day off today, and we all know how the weather was. I logged in 6 hours of game play today in this game. I got very far in and just died. So I lost all my souls. I am now back to the very BEGINNING of the game. fuck.

Sounds like the kinda game i'd snap in 1/2 in short order. I get about 2 hours total Monday thru Sunday to play games, not worth the time to play something where I get reset constantly.
