Well I got my pocketbike running 49cc 2 stroke, runs like a champ until I go to ride it. Granted I'm a little big for it but I've never had a issue in the past.

When I ride it sometimes the motor will kick like its backfiring or detonating. It's a BRAND NEW carb from a place on ebay that deals with small motors, I tried adjusting the carb 1/4 turn either way but didnt help at all. I cant even WOT the thing without it hiccuping. Anyone know what the plug gap is supposed to be? It seemed like the more I rode it the earlier in the throttle roll it would kick.

Side note... I dont have a exhaust on it, never did before and it didnt do this, and I'm also using no air cleaner, never had the issue either.

I assume either carb or spark related though. Could it be the 2 stroke mix?

Did you check for any leaks around the carb?

Yeah couldnt find any, but it only does it when I go to ride it. I can rev it to the moon on the stand and its fine.
