Stocky cam? Stocky pullies, I'll give you shorty headers.. that leaked at the head pipes. Mufflers that were so rotted the exhaust passed through the case? The stock clutch that slipped 'a little'? Add in 150K miles of questionable maintenance... Oh yes.. all super performance mods

.
Not saying Gina's car is any prize, it's stitched together from so many other cars it's a FrankenMustang and has had more engines than some people here have had cars.
If were going to play the whole "Mustangs suck! LS1s rule!". Sure. a stock 5.0 puts what, 205 at the crank, on a good day. An LS1 is a 'new' design. 345? It's not a fair comparison IMO. What did a 1993 305 equipped Camaro do for power?

as for the 93 camaros, the engine options were a 3.4, and the lt1. first year for the lt1 in general was 92 in the corvette. the 3.8 was first put in 4th gens in 95.

eh, lotta cars above 100k without absolutely PERFECT maintenance, especially more than a few years old lose power, just a fact of engines. It'd prob be close, but I bet whether it's a 302 or a 3400 or a 281 2v, even a brand new engine that hasn't been properly broken in won't make full power.

3800's with blowers have been since the early 90s and the 3.8s have been around even longer than that. they were obviously doing something right. the 3.8/3800 is one of the strongest motors ever produced.

OK first off do your research before trying to school me. That video isnt even a 3.8 its a big block twin turbo. How do I know? Because Ive watched that car grow for years. I had a GN look a like and there was a local guy who made videos every year and my car was in one of them(Nelson Febus who lives in CT)
Second off...if you knew anything about the M90 or M62 youd know that they have a horrible problem with heat. This isnt some ass wipe theory Ive developed because if you recall I have owned a M62 powered car(the redline)
Yes they make power but IMO its not worth it after a certain level...especially with the M90's on the GPs. From the factory they arent equipped with a H/E like the IRL/CSS's were and even adding one again isnt worth it with the availability of blower upgrades.
So my opinion still stands with I wouldnt be scared if it still has the heaton on it. Yes they can be quick with the eatons but IMO(in my opinion....afterall in the U.S. we can have those right now) anything with a heaton on it cant be fast....and yes that also goes for the Terminator cobra's also(which is why everyone ditches the M112 heaton for a KB/Whipple/Turbo setup.

thats your opinion. you can still make ridiculous power with eatons. there is also a way to control the temp on them too.
and no, that g/n is not a bbc car. ive seen it when i was in arizona. its a 3.8. the school i went to out there has his original 3.8 in a display case. care to try again?

Well the GP market is a shit ton bigger than the SS/IRL market. And the IRL guys have the TVS for an upgrade. I mean if you arent trying to make gobs of power with the car then the M90 is great. Smaller pulley, cam, headers and a tune really wake up those GTP's.
For gobs of power Ive seen guys throw whipples on the car and make insane power....or turbo if youre feeling ballsy lol
Dont get me wrong I want a GTP in the worst way.
