Full Version: Bogging Issue With Race Car

Having issues with race car when at idle car in park sounds great and strong. When you put the car into drive it immediatlly bogs down and becomes a sled that wont move out of its way. I am going to check timing today but wanted to see of anyone else had any suggestions specs on car

motor 305 with a 2 barrel carb motor does have a cam any help would really be appreciated

only needs enough power t get around a 1/3 mile oval. wink.gif We're having similar trouble with the streeter. Someone suggested checking the valve springs. I have no clue what I'm talking about when it comes to engine internals, but just throwing that out in case you think it's worth checking. dunno.gif

i could be wrong but on my friends 306 he had the same issue and it was the carb cans try their and swap them out for a smaller one?.?.? dunno.gif dunno.gif dunno.gif

Do you have a vacuum gauge ? if so is the vacuum pressure good ?

I don't understand why you can't run a TPI setup there. The rules state that the motor must be a stock motor for that car. Does that mean that you could run a T/A with a 455? It makes no sense.
