Having issues with race car when at idle car in park sounds great and strong. When you put the car into drive it immediatlly bogs down and becomes a sled that wont move out of its way. I am going to check timing today but wanted to see of anyone else had any suggestions specs on car

motor 305 with a 2 barrel carb motor does have a cam any help would really be appreciated

did it just start doing this or has it done it since the engine was built?

Since I put it together It has done it

only needs enough power t get around a 1/3 mile oval. We're having similar trouble with the streeter. Someone suggested checking the valve springs. I have no clue what I'm talking about when it comes to engine internals, but just throwing that out in case you think it's worth checking.

i could be wrong but on my friends 306 he had the same issue and it was the carb cans try their and swap them out for a smaller one?.?.?

Do you have a vacuum gauge ? if so is the vacuum pressure good ?

I don't understand why you can't run a TPI setup there. The rules state that the motor must be a stock motor for that car. Does that mean that you could run a T/A with a 455? It makes no sense.
