Well, today I said goodbye to the Murano, and picked up the new wifey. I had been looking to get another mustang, but figured I'd better invest my money in one car that satisfies all needs. Safety, speed, comfort, and bad weather capability. Specs:

2004 S60R AWD 6MT

Titanium Gray Pearl / Nordkap Blue/Black

-300hp/295tq 2.5L turbo I-5 (Factory boost appx 15psi)

-6spd close ratio transmission

-All Wheel drive

-4C Active Chassis Control (By Ohlins, Comfort/Sport/Advanced. Also adjusts throttle input)

-Brembo Brakes (4 piston calipers with R logo on all, 330mm rotors all around)

-Heated Leather, Moonroof, Dolby Pro Logic II Stereo, power seats, airbags galore.

PICS!!!!

MARK
looks good man. congrats.

Haha nooo but I do like those interiors if they're on a blue/black car!

as for the second statement, yes it's nasty. Very decieving speedwise, caught myself a couple times. And yes, dennis does know quite a bit about them. First plans are an IPD intake and some kind of exhaust, and hopefully have dennis tune it.

I absolutely hate the factory lip kit, I think it looks like shit. They look much better with no lip, possibly lowered with springs. Fun fact about the suspension while we're on that:

-Active suspension pulls data from sensors 500 times/sec. Example: Go to jack on the brakes, by the time the pads touch the rotor the computer knows how fast youre going, how hard you hit the brakes, how much the car will nosedive, and how much to pump the shocks to correct it.

Tasca I think will only be doing the tuning for me, if that. I'm definitely going with an IPD intake, potentially EST or evolve exhaust, IPD downpipe, and either a tasca tune (if reasonable price) or the IPD softloader.

there's a few around, tough to find though.

Oh, and for a 3700lb car, this thing MOVES. Factory rates 0-60 in 5.2 or something like that, 60-0 in 120ft, i'm absolutely loving it.

that is sweet, makes me want a volvo now

Neither would I, aside from the S60R or V70R. All the reviews I read of these R models are incredibly good. Out of 111 reviews on Edmunds (most of which either had or bought with 50k+ already) say these cars are absolutely rock solid. The major complaints are turning circle (a truckish 42 ft) and squeaky brakes. As solid as this car is and safe, I'll deal with squeaky brakes and a few multi-point turns to cover all the bases I need a car to cover.

What IS the purpose of the headlight wipers?

What IS the purpose of the headlight wipers?

I'd imagine it was functional for the salt/mud that gets kicked up during winter months and obstructs the beam of the headlight. A rarity, but nice to have.

I did for sure. Only thing is I wanted the man pedal back, and the G35x is only offered in auto, and while I probably would have put up with the automatic for an m35x, they're WAY too much money for me right now.
