Now Ford has a recall. So does Chrysler. The Ford pedals are made by the same company as Toyota.
Why did they go electronic again?

I can't find an answer to this.

GM swapped to DBW back in like 2003, hasnt had many issues from what I've seen. I'll take a cable TB all day any day though.

I never had a problem with DBW in the RL. When I hit the accelerator it moved when I let go it let go lol

Yeah I like the cables better too, if it breaks it's just a little easier to fix!

Any DBW car I've driven has an ever-not-so-slight delay that takes getting used to.. more so than EFI with a standard cable.

Well of course there will be a mini delay....the computer has to react to the sensors. But In the DBW cars that Ive driven I really havent had any get stuck on me. And I wouldnt hesitate to drive one over an actual cable driven throttle body. But you are correct where the cable is more better(carb then EFI then DBW)

That used to drive me crazy in the avalanche, it was horrible at wide open throttle. The first time i floored it in that truck i thought it was broke and then my neck almost broke because i wasn't expecting it.

My R is a DBW and a hydro clutch, I still buck it and have stalled it a couple times because the clutch engagement and throttle response are so diff. from the cable clutch and tb on the cobra that i was used to lol

That's how my fathers F250 is. First time I drove it after driving my carb'd F100, I thought something was wrong.
