So its come time for the Cobalt to get a refresh. its got 109K miles, a bunch of rock chips and small dings from rocks on the highway, and a few parking lot dents. I ordered a New Front Bumper and im lookng for a straight hood. I also plan to use the TC grills in the New setup once its finished, Headlights are now black housing lights. so im going to keep the car Silver, the question being what to do to make it "mine"

1. Two Tone

2. Racing Stripes (Think 70 Chevelle)

3. Pearl Paint.

For Some reason i am stuck on a dark blue color From HOK called Cortez Blue, for the stripes or the Two Tone. or a blue pearl if i go that route. i just wanted some opinions.

that blue would look good 2 toned with the silver...blue on top though..

too many blue cobalts on the road...granted different colors but the SS blue was kinda close to that.

keep it silver, scuff it down and throw a few coats of blue pearl on it then clear it.

^ great idea but it needs some bodywork. i have a new bumper and a new hood to go on it. as well as some dents to fix

drew not trying to sound like a prick but IMHO im not feeling it it looks a little to ricey to me. ony "two tone i like is on SOME cars when they do the cf hood black roof and cf trunk

that looks good but.......................ahhhhhh dont do it. just do the body work, re spray it silver then pearl it

I'm not a fan of stripes on most new cars for some reason, just doesn't do it for me personally. I'd stick with one color.

I say if you're gonna paint it, may as well do something, the effort is the same IMO.

ultimately you need to be happy with teh car so do what you feels best.

i would paint it solid blue or leave it silver.

I wouldn't do pearl. Next paint job = do the entire car again.. Or an accident.. or a scratch..
