Anyone that says "alien life does not exist", after seeing this picture, is a fool.
I'm sure there's life somewhere, but I just don't think it's what Hollywood makes it out to be. It's more likely to be bacteria or aquatic life....like sponges, mollusks, algae.
Even if there was a planet as advanced as ours....the odds of it going through the same time line of natural disasters, other geological changes, the distance of their sun/heat/light source is very slim. But who knows....primates of advanced communications skills like us could have evolved somewhere else.

Makes you wonder how big the galaxy actually is. Does it ever stop?
According to current knowledge, the universe is ever-expanding. It started as a concentration of time and the "Big Bang" was an expansion of that time...and now it just keeps on going.
Ok, my geekiness is done for the day...time to make dinner.
