Ok long story short. Today on the ride into work clutch was fine. Get of the Highway and as I'm parking the clutch pedal starts feeling funny when i push down. Almost like a stutter, no sound but i can feel it's not right. It's like it's clicking but with no sound several times until it's fully depressed.
Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks. Ask questions and I'll try and give answers.
Gears shift fine once it's all the way down.

Wow, nothing..
I've got a new discription. It's like when i'm pressing down its like stretching a rubber band.

Could be The factory clutch pivot fork , even though its cast iron wears because of the throw out bearing moving back and forth on it. Also, the throw out bearing sometimes have wear from the clutch teeth pushing against it.

sounds like it could be the clutch cable. sounds very similar to what happened to me in the mustang.

do those use a cable or are they hydraulic?
90% sure the neons are hydraulic

sounds like it needs some antidepressants.......

Yes antidepressants.. my skittle is sad I know..
But as for the funny feeling clutch. It shifts into gear fine engages and disengages pretty well. Just when I push it in it has a weird feel to it. Like its rubbing past something. It just doesn't fell like my clutch. I don't like it. I thought it could be slave or master but I'm not having any problems getting into first or reverse. Never had a problem with the dreaded neon 3rd either.

is it possible that the slave is leaking? If there's fluid leaking onto the discs it'll cause some havoc. How old is the clutch?

Maybe you could take a look up under the dash and push it in. Maybe something under the dash fell down and is getting in the way of the pedal itself.

dont have much input on this but on the cobra when i moved the powersteering line forward to fit the intercooler in i had a leak and for some strange reason when i was out of fluid my clutch ped felt the same way like a rubberband i have no idea how the two had anthing to do with each other but when i topped off the ps fluid it was fine so its a shot in the dark but try that

IIRC the cobra is a cable clutch, the neon being fully hydraulic *should* use the brake fluid. Check that out as well and if it's low your brakes probably are too.

yea i know the cobra is a cable clutch but when it was low on ps fluid id did the same symptoms so just not sure on how the two issues connect but check it you never know

that def is weird...maybe even though it's a cable it had a hydraulic master, and they used the p/s fluid instead of the brake? Idk...when my cobra blew a p/s line the clutch always felt fine.

topped off clutch reservoir with dot3. Felt a little funny today, but later tonight was fine. Could it be this dam heat.. Never had a car that was affected by Temp and moisture conditions as much as this thing.

just take some happy pills and you won't even be able to feel the clutch pedal.

Ok, So I've never had a slipping clutch before. Someone let me know if this is what happens.
When I clutch out from a stop it rumbles and almost stalls. I'm able to change gears smoothly but but clutching in feels soft and vibrates only when it is in gear. I can pump the clutch in neutral and it feels normal.
Let me know.

it might chatter if the flywheel is fucked up like cracked from the heat of the clutch. seen that happen before
