Did another trackday at Beaverun on July 3 and had a killer day. This is the first time I got to a track and didn't have the slightest threat of rain. (such a relief!) The only bummer is I missed a run due to a rider going down in front of me in Turn 10, which is a large 180deg carousel. He came off his bike and I didn't want to go between him and his bike, and there was no way to get under his bike in the turn without lowsiding myself, so I ran off into the grass and dumped my bike off the track. I bent the shifter up but nothing else was damaged, but broke the shifter straigtening it. I did a quick ghetto fix to get out for my last session but then another rider highsided out of Turn 3 and split his radiator open, and the took the rest of the time cleaning that up.
The good news is I had plenty of turns with my knee down! The photographer missed it but I have the scratches on my knee pucks to prove it. It's a sweet feeling.
I know I say this a lot but I'll say it again, I encourage any of you guys to step up and get out for a track day. It's not cheap but what you learn is so worth it, and it'll make you a way better street rider.
Here's a couple pics:

*Almost* dragging a knee!

This guy was worth mentioning since he's out on a modified 1970 HD Sportster 1000. Very cool to see someone whomping on an old piece of iron and using it for all it's worth. Plus the sound was sweet!
