Hey guys, Ive got a set of wheels that I need to get media blasted. Ive tried using stripper on them but it just isnt doing the job. They are OEM mazda wheels and the finish is too thick to strip off. Does anyone know someone who can media blast them cheap (or free/for beer) this is just a low rent cheapo project im working on and im trying to keep the budget down. Any help would be awesome.

If the wheels have a thick powdercoating on them then it may take a bit to get them blasted too. I stripped an old set of wheel sonce with some paint stripper that was in an areosol can. The stuff worked great. Dont use some cheap shit

im using a chemical gel stripper right now. Maybe i just need to do a whole lot of coats . . . still would like to just blast them.

Worcester abrasives and coatings could have em stripped.

They are 03 Mazda P5 wheels. Im going to do a polished aluminum/bronze spoke style.

Idk parts store or something? I know I have a can and it strips paint and stuff off EVERYTHING.

sell it at autozone dont they? That stuff is incredible, it literally does take anything off of anything.....so wear gloves

if that dont work, try a tombstone place. i had the guy in westport blast mine for 10 bucks a wheel.

aircraft stripper found, bought, used . . . that shit is scary. It takes all the clear coat and paint off no problem but i guess its made to leave the primer alone ? Bc it def left the primer intact. Might just wait and have them media blasted by my friend in Sept.
