ok so the truck has a new hid kit in it. for the first couple days it was working fine. but now when i go to put them on the lights flicker like they are about to start up but than they dont charge up at all. so n head lights right now is a problem any one heard of this before

sounds like ballasts. Check all your wiring but it seems like it's the ballasts.

both or just one? when you turn hids on no matter what they seem to flicker a little then take a min to warm up and gradually get brighter/whiter/bluer whatever but like he said id vote ballasts for sure. check your connections. if its just one.. switch them to see if its still goin on

I would find it strange that 2 ballasts go out at the same time. What is I don't know.
