wheel hop = bad so anything to help minimize it would there for = good right? Well thats about what I am asking everyones opinions on. Preloading the control arms to reduce wheel hop at the track, ok, but what about long term effects?

I know the traction rods for the sixth gen max are phenomenal...lot less wheel hop, lot less torque steer.

I didn't know those had enough horsepower to spin the wheels.

Yes they work. And very well. Great for drag racing but since it's preloaded it throws off the suspension geometry a bit. I know 4th gen maxima guys will ride with them disconnected on the street but hook them up for the track.

Guys seem to like them on the Cobalts.

I've got a 3400 and have Torque Steer. Fucked if I knew what to do about it though. Nor do I care enough to do anything about it. I won't have the car longer than a year anyway.

I put them on the G5 and it launches like a SOB, but there has been a strange clunk since then. I'm thinking about pulling them off for daily driving, but IDK.

think it pulled the Control arm bushings out?

if this isnt just a track car, i think polyurethane Motor Mount Inserts will greatly reduce the wheel hop. If that doesnt get rid of it, get an Engine Torque Damper and new tires and lower the PSI.
but pertaining to your question, the only bad long term affect i could see is that that around town driving will suck. but thats what we deal with.

check out "bwoody" web sight. They might have traction control parts for your vehicle. Also I would consider a torque dampener.
