So I beat Halo Reach, was thinking of picking up one of the cod games. With halo, I was into the story so I played them all in order. For cod, should I get the newest one or is it worth playing the older ones?

not really worth playing the older ones IMO. You just end up playing multiplayer online. But, single player on black ops is pretty fun and they just released a map pack for it. Modern Warfare 2 cant go wrong there, World at War is kinda cool, they're all pretty good really lol

never touched any of the story modes.

MW2 and BO are probably the only ones worth buying for multiplayer at this point.

if you enjoy mindless shooting its fun for a little while. but it gets old pretty quickly.

I've never bought a COD game for the single player. Basically it depends what your into. Old stuff, get world at war. New stuff, get modern warfare 2. in between stuff get Black Ops

yeah, the guns and locations change, but the gameplay has been the same since COD4.

the formula works, but its become stale.

I probably will never get the map packs. 3 maps for 15 bucks? No thanks.

I'll probably split my time 50/50 between online and single. It doesn't even have to have a great story, firefight in halo is awesome.

On a side note, I need to play more, I was playin reach online last night, and I suuuuuuck! Lol

If you're a casual player going for multiplay, forget it, as half of these games online are played by 13 year olds who are homeschooled and have nothing better to do but play day in and out.

Yeah tell me about it. And boy are they obnoxious!

My Favorite part of the COD games is MW2 where they have Spec Ops. Basically mini missions you can play with a friend or by yourself I hate multiplayer on these and am slowly hating online multiplayer more and more every day with most games

Now you know one big reason I like the older stuff .. single player playability, or with a friend.. or four.. on a couch.

im trying to get into the cod thing...i lose my patience online playing it though lol

it's easy to lose that playing against 12 year olds who should be in the navy

depends if your more into online or the story line.

IMHO Black ops has one of the best story lines, but online is kinda shitty.

MW2 is perfect for online.

I think I'm more into story play. Like a few others have said, I get frustrated playing online. I have some friends local that I play with, and thats fine, but getting spawn killed, obliterated time after time by a kid in a tank or banshee, or someone in a sniper perch, I just want to quit. The worst is how much shit they talk.

I need to add some of you guys to my friends list btw. I have Dicky on mine, but hes always playin Cod.

oh and I must be a noob, I haven't gone through Reach on Legendary yet.

I'm not talking difficulty. COD has hardcore game modes online which is No Radar, minimal health, increased bullet damage, and no health regeneration. Basically its how the game should be

oh yeah, I've seen stuff like that. Enemies have double health, always save etc. Crazy!

I did the story of MW2 and I really like the special ops missions. Chrissy and I would do the AC130 mission.. she'd blast people from the sky lol.
