So I got my car back from the trans shop finally, and put my color matched FRC's on, now I'm looking at the power steering reservoir, which is that brown looking can next to the throttle body. Now they sell a billet piece, but I'm not really a huge fan of all that bling. The polished CAI still bugs me a little. Anyways, I was thinking of maybe painting it flat black to match the rest of the plastic under the hood, or maybe body color. For comparison, I'll be using the same paint that I used on the FRC's. Opinions?

The Ford ones are the same sorta plastic/fiberglass material.

I purposely left mine, and it was an autozone pump that was painted black. When it was all black it looked like a cheap rebuild.

would billet really be that blingy? your brake booster on the left there already has a billet-ish look to it, might not look half bad.

It is clean.

It's just... brown.
Joe, maybe. I wasn't really planning on it, but I suppose I could polish the booster, throttle body, and a few other pieces, then they'll match a billet PS tank or cover.
Paul, yours is at least not front and center and all obvious.
Zack, if I were to paint it, that's the direction I'm leaning.

is it actually brown plastic or is it just a clear bottle that's turned brown from PS fluid chillin in it for 5 or 6 years? You should see if you can find another model that has the same reservoir but the regular white/clear plastic. That would make it look good too.

2 side notes... I wonder why only that reservoir turns brown?
And it's funny to me that I didn't think I'd ever get to the point where I was looking to replace a perfectly working bottle because it was ugly under the hood.

It gets a little silly and addicting at times lol

All that white plastic does, same with cooling reservoirs and wiper reservoirs. Heat ruins it.

See if you can find a black one. The power steering reservoir on mine looks like shit, it's the same one as Pauls, but my friend has a black one that looks much better.

Leave it be. Lol. Why bother popping your hood at a car show, unless you have something good to show off. GTO... 2 pipes out the left, LS1. 1 pipe on each side, LS2.
