Hey guys i know we gotta have a few fishermen on here. When we go camping i would like to try and get back into fishing. I would like to spend no more than $50 on everything. I have nothing lol

I found this for $20 what do you guys think and what else should i get with the remaining $30?

I'll have to take a look at my smaller rod to see what I'm using but I love it. Has a real good amount of feedback to it. The real is nice and smooth but is getting up there and could be replaced.

My larger rod is on of the combo deals and it's ok. I really only use that one for bait fishing (aka only in the spring for trout)


Lures: I love my Mepps #3 Black Furry. I've caught everything on it and is my go to lure. I have good luck with rattle traps as well. If the suns setting top water fishing with a popper is a blast.

Bait: I don't really do much of it. If I do it's saltwater fishing for stripers, which depending on location I use chunks of mackerel. Power bait is what I use most in fresh water going after trout. My bag has just about every color of powerbait in it haha.

How about hook size from what i read the rivers has trout and i believe bass

Depends what your going after and using for bait. Smaller sizes for trout perch. And you can get away with larger for bass.

I think i am going to go to bass pro June 11th or 12th to buy some stuff if anyone wants to go

june 2nd and the 16th are the car shows there... might be a good idea to go then, mix a rekless meet with fishermen(and women) unite <3
