This thread is for everyone to show off the work they put into their ride(s) for the CFK show. You busted your ass making it happen, now brag about it!

so Sarah is down from oh canada and the LS was going to a show tomorrow. Started out with a clay bar then went to buffing. I decided to try wet sanding a small section to see if she could buff it out all the way. Turns out she can and it looks mint. So I wet sanded the crap out of the LS trying to get rid of some major orange peel and the minor scratches that buffing doesnt normally get. WOW!!!!!!!!! What a task this is. I sanded it down with 1000 grit, then 2000 thousand. She came behind and polished it up with a polishing (NOT RUBBING) compound. DAMN!!!!!!!!! Then it got the meguiars three step wax finished off with the NXT tech wax. I had a tarp hanging over the back of the car and in the trunk i could count the threads in the tarp! Its a little lass than half way done now 8 hours later, but damn is she coming out MINT!!!!!!! I decided since the rocks and such had raped and pillaged my front bumper to repaint it. Its getting sanded and buffed tomorrow with the other half of the car. I cant wait till shes done. the first part looks so damn good its not even funny. I\'ve decided to paint the plastic rocker panels and the chrome trim tomorrow as well. Got the diamond plating for my trunk painted but not cleared yet. I\'m going to have to redo my tails since they arent dark enough and thy got some of the sanding....oops! all and all Sarah and I have busted our asses to get this car into the very highest of high standards for CFK. Just trying to make damn sure Rekless runs that shit!

I haven't done a damn thing yet. My car is sitting in my garage with the driver side front wheel off. hahahaha

well tonight i am doing a list of things to my car. its the first major overhaul in about a year since last years cure for kids. tonight im sanding/repainting my grill, bought a new set of hubcaps which i am sanding/painting to match the car, cutting vinyl (thanks ed) to do custom eyelids, possibly putting back on the headlight covers, adding a new layer of tint to the tails, possibly taking a white pen to the lettering on the new tires, and maybe painting the calipers silver. i took 3 pics this afternoon for before shots. and ill take some tomorrow when everything is done

Oh and fucking WETSANDING AND BUFFING THE HELL OUT OF THE CAR TOO!!!!!

Thats the stock wheel covers and new Goodyears with no white lettering (covers will be black, lettering will be white, calipers silver, and some tire shine)



Thats the grill from being painted last year. (Sanding down, priming, sanding, repriming, 1st coat, 2nd coat, 1st coat of clear, 2nd coat of clear.)



And finally the taillights. Pretty dark as is, but trying to do the murder look like Sully (Either another layer of tint film or VHF spray)

well i was hopin to have the new hood on and painted for the show but vfn screwed me so nuthin special is gettin done just gotta do a basic detail and im good to go

since i drive a buick theres nothing much i can do. lol plan on possibly making the system look presentable, and detailing it to all on belief.

so far so good guys. Its now Tuesday monring and I still need to put a new exhaust on, add a nitrous kit, change out a shifter, detail and engine compartment that hasnt been done in 4 years, and then clay bar my entire car. I gotta get moving

I have no time to do my bike and even if I had the time I suck at detailing, so she is going in looking as good as a wash and wax can make her look

bring that thing by the shop nelson ill give you some plastic shine and s100 that bike will be shining in 20 minutes you got no chrome to clean man

welp i need to wet sand and buff, touch up the wheels, try and re paint the bumper, fix the side door and possibly rear quater, touch up the interior paint, detail under the hood, buy and attatch a new cat and exhaust, change the exhaust manifold gasket and O2's, re paint the front grill mesh, change out the altezzas to oem, paint hood possibly, and make some custom eyelids.



lets see how much gets done by sunday.... hmmm

wow sully car looks good. i just clay bared and paint cleaned the stang. this cetting the polish and wax on sat after work, and all the final touches...

I got my dash painted, headlight internals painted, and system installed, hoping to get the brakes painted before the show, but the drop isn't going to happen

Hoping to fix my intake up again, I know the problem now..

Going to try to get the oxidization out of the bare aluminum on my valve cover, timing chain cover and intake manifold. I'm thinking steel wool and laquer thiner any suggestions


then a good wash and wax and interior cleaning

I have no pics yet...but my car is being washed, waxed, and interior detailed...by my body shop. I'll see it when I get it back today...

or how about I like to do the work on my car myself. Paint needs alot more then wetsanding then buffing. needs a respray and a some rust repairs. Isnt worth have a full out buffing done to it.

ya im here just about every night till 7 or later during the week saturdays and sundays early morning, till about 2 or 3 nelson

Sully just went crazy and decided to sandlike a mad man down to the primer... then hes painting it... clearing it.... then I have to buff it.... damn!





On a side note, rocket got a new exhaust tip today we havent put it on yet cuz i said i wanted the lincoln done first but still!! just something small to go over the stock pipe cuz the stock pipe looks like poo and has annoyed me since the day i got it.
