Sully
Sep 15 2008, 02:48 PM

Sep 15 2008, 02:52 PM
yeah, I usually leave that stuff to the pros, if you don't shim it right or whatnot, it'll blow out.
Sully
Sep 15 2008, 02:57 PM
rear ends get blown out without a bad build...... not something to learn on without a knowledgable person by your side

Damn, I guess you aren't messing around with that thing, what size is that v8 anyway, not a 4.6?

not bad at all, you been to the track with it? do you have alot of plans for it?
Sully
Sep 16 2008, 03:06 PM
ummmm track times stock with 20's were 15.4
tuned it and never ran with full tune on, retarded the timing 4 degrees for nitrous and when it didnt spray I pulled a 15.2
when it did spray it backfired because I was stupid and sprayed WAY to low in the rpm range. No track numbers with the nitrous but others with the same shot but less work are running 13.2-13.6.
My plans are to build a 6spd TT Nitro LS out of it

I'm not sure, I got a quote from a company on the supra forum. its just the pumpkin, can't be to much, the guy told me it would be $586 if I sent him mine. the only junkyard that might have a pumpkin is the pick and pull in freetown they had a NA supra, those usually have 430 gears, if thats a LSD I'll take it.

Good thread. I'll more than likely need work done on my rear end. Although its never the diff that breaks its the ring gear the stub shafts or the mounting brackets.
Thats the price though of dealing with a manual tranny and drag radials
